All Our Children Magazine Ad
While designing this magazine advertisement, I wanted to encapture the feeling of the content itself. This PBS documentary highlights the national tragedy of America’s youth, the sad stories of children with nowhere to turn to. To emphasize the tone of the documentary, I used a somber blue color throughout the page and even overlayed the photographs. By using a strict grid, the page appears clean and precise. In the title, the “i” and “d” have a diagonal slash, originally mimicking the idea of being broken, which I then repeated in other aspects of this design. By the end of its creation, this advertisement transformed into a balanced layout of balance and precision.
